Catastrophic CAT 4 HURRICANE HELENE created historic damage in Florida , Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee via mere wind strength, tornadoes, flash flooding, mudslides, and avalanches.

Many of you know former membership director Charley, she posted earlier that she has never seen this type of devastation in the beautiful mountains of TN.

Many are without power, there are cell phone towers down, highway and road systems impassable, some areas still cut off from contact with the world and unfortunately there are casualties.

In the coming days and weeks, many of our fellow Parrot Heads are going to need our assistance.  We know several clubs are based in cities and towns severely affected by Helene.  We are trying to reach out to those club officers.

But lest we remember our virtual and out laying club members who are located throughout the country and may be located in the path of destruction.  Our phlock is scattered far and wide.

The Lone Palm Foundation’s “Parrot Head Emergency Fund” is here for you when a natural disaster occurs. The application process is easy, link below:

The Lone Palm Foundation is funded through the generosity of our fellow Parrot Heads.  Together we are “PARROT HEADS HELPING PARROT HEADS”. We process applications upon receipt and need membership verification from club president’s in an extremely timely manner. Once verified a check is sent out directly to the member. This process is usually completed within 48 hours. These funds are crucial for many following a natural disaster.

If you wish to donate, you can mail a check or donate electronically. Details available here:

Together we can make a difference in the lives of our Parrot Head family members affected by Hurricane Helene.
